Golf Club Bologna

Bologna
bologna2.jpg
The course opened in 1959, has a par of 72 and compared to today’s modern layouts is relatively short as it only measures 5945 metres. Don’t be fooled that this course, if you play here during your golf in Italy trip, is a push over as the course record of only 70 is held by one of Italy’s finest players, Baldovino Dassu.

The courses fairways stretch their way across rolling and undulating terrain and with its backdrop of the Bologna hills you will be rewarded with magnificent views during your round of golf. The 6th hole is regarded as one of the highlights of the course, it is a spectacular par 5 measuring 550 metres and is dominated by the church of St Lucca, which dates back to the 17th century. The course has undergone some updating over the years and Peter Alliss carried out the most recent in 2000 thus making it a good place to play on your golf in Italy trip.

Golf Club Bologna is a very prestigious golf club and has been host to the Italian Amateur Championships on many occasions and has held many Professional tournaments over its long history. So on your golf in Italy trip you will step in the shoes of many good players.

bologna3.jpgThe clubhouse is very smart and elegant providing a perfect haven before and after your game of golf in Italy, and the club’s restaurant has been listed as one of the top ten club restaurants in Italy on many occasions.

The practice facilities are excellent and they include a driving range as well as chipping and putting greens. The club also boasts an attractive outdoor swimming pool which compliments the club’s facilities beautifully. So miss this on your golf in Italy trip if you dare.
