Sadly we do not know the name of the designers but the two nines, although quite different; compliment each other as to the test that they provide when playing golf in Italy. Set within the magnificent Apennines near Bologna the course begins its journey on the sharp slopes of the Savena Valley and this unusual course, with its par of 70 and length of 5480 metres, provides the player who comes to play golf in Italy with outstanding views. Many international magazines have referred to the start of this golf course as The Stairway to Heaven.

The first nine holes, which are relatively short, provides the player with narrow fairways and small greens thus providing a strong technical golfing challenge and the second nine presents the player on their golf in Italy trip, with a chance to open their shoulders on their drives as the fairways are longer and wider than the original nine but certainly no less a challenge.

The practice facilities are superb and include a driving range with several covered bays as well as top quality putting and pitching greens.

The clubhouse at Molino Del Pero is wonderful. It has been housed in an old renovated mill and with its enormous oak beams and large fireplace you will be treated to a wonderful relaxing Italian atmosphere and in the clubs restaurant, which is housed in the old grinding room, you will be served some excellent traditional local cuisine. This is a remarkable little course and well worth a visit on your golf in Italy trip.
