With over eight centuries of history, Lisbon has much to offer the golfer who wishes to combine site seeing and shopping with their golf. On your golf holiday to Lisbon you can while away many hours on free days, exploring the many shops and museums around the city or you can simply take time out during your golf in Portugal to enjoy one of their many diverse bars and restaurants scattered around the beautifully paved streets.

Although there is a bit more travelling to the courses than if you stay on the Algarve, you won't be disappointed with the quality of golf course you can play. From the Majestic Penha Longa to the quirkiness of Estoril the courses are a delight and during your golf holiday you will be surprised how unbelievebly quiet they are at times.

There are four main areas to stay and play during your golf holiday in Lisbon. North of Lisbon, around an hour and half's drive you will find Praia D'el Rey near the town of Obidos, right by the Atlantic coast this will provide a stiff but exciting test of golf whilst on your golf holiday and you can stay in the Marriott hotel giving you the luxury you deserve. From there you can travel out to play Campo Real and Golden Eagle. These courses are both challenging and a different test from Praia D'el Rey.

Staying in Cascais on your golf holiday to the Lisbon area will give you an option to play 7 or more great courses, most are nearly on your doorstep. You will find Cascais fascinating and with its relaxed bars and Restaurants which are a mixture of both traditional and cosmopolitan, you’ll have an enjoyable time each evening during your golf holiday. A night out at the restaurants and bars in the marina is also something not to miss. Staying in Cascais you will be able to play courses such as Oitavos, a golf course renowned for its quality and Quinta da Marinha a popular course with overseas golfers and also a fantastic test of golf. Both these courses have hosted the Portuguese Open. These are just two of the fantastic courses you can play. Every golf course in Portugal is unique and is a pleasure to experience whilst on golf breaks to Lisbon.

In Cascais you can even take a short train journey to wonderful Estoril where you will find a diverse night life and even have a chance to lose some money in their Historic casino.

Moving south you can stay in the coastal town of Sesimbra. With its fabulous beach this has been a popular destination for the Portuguese for many years.

Staying in the Sesimbra hotel and spa during your Tee Times golf holiday will allow you to be within easy reach of the courses of Aroeira, Quinta do Peru, Troia and Montado. Sesimbra will give you a more relaxing holiday with its quieter nightlife but the quality of restaurants and bars will definitely make you want to return to this town for a golf holiday again.

Finally we come to Lisbon. This city steeped in history and culture will leave you wanting to return time and time again. Staying in our carefully picked hotels you will be able to stay in different areas of Lisbon giving you a variety of interesting views of this great city and a choice of nightlife to suit everyone. From Lisbon you can travel to the Sesimbra and Cascais areas during your golf holiday to play golf or any other activity you may wish to do during your golf trip. Crossing the amazing Vasco da Gamma bridge will give you breathtaking views of the river Tagus whilst on your way to play Ribagolfe and Santo Estevao and it will give you the chance to visit the interesting town of Alcochete during your golf trip, which stands on the opposite bank of the river to Lisbon.
