The Bramble Hill course at Fancourt was opened in 2002 and was designed by the great Gary Player. It is the only public course on our list but don’t be lead into thinking that that this is just any old public course.It measures 6262 metres from the back tees and has a difficult par of 72. It has an interesting design as it is predominately a parkland course but contains many links style features.

When some mentions a golf course that’s been designed by Ernie Els, you immediately think of class. In fact Els has named Oubaai as his favourite course in the world so that really says it all. Oubaai is actually the first signature course for Ernie Els in South Africa.

The Pezula golf course, Pezula actually means “Near the Gods”, was opened in 2001 and within a few months it was voted the best new course in South Africa. It was designed by David Dale and Ronald Fream of the American golf course design company Golfplan who have harmoniously integrated it into the spectacular coastal landscape and forested areas of this beautiful location.

The golf course at Pinnacle Point, one of the courses we have chosen for your South African golfing holiday, opened in November 2006 to great reviews, and has been described as having been built on the most remarkable piece of land anyway in the world, and very few courses can come anywhere near this claim.
